George Lucas' bold first feature, set in a 25th century dystopia beneath the earth's surface, received a complete digital restoration in 2004. Robert Duvall plays the title role, a human who inadvertently defies anti-sex laws by falling in love with his roommate after she tampers with his government-administered medication.
