Time:

Experience the final performance piece created by Creative in Residence Heather Sultz. Heather Sultz is a choreographer, performer, and educator who creates site-specific work and facilitates exploration of architectural and environmental spaces through the movements of the human body.

From Heather Sultz:
Transits and Passages will explore all 4 floors of the Museum, creating new ways of experiencing the space for audience-members. The piece draws on the history of the museum as a space built for Civil War pensioners, the architectural aspects of the site, the Museum's historical collections, and the creativity of the DC-based community of performers. Performers have come together from a wide variety of fields - visual arts, architecture, science, social work, education, dance, theater. Our process has been intensive, with the two groups of performers spending either five or ten days of rehearsals in the space over the last two weeks. We invite you to join us on this journey of discovery.

Audience members will walk to different locations in the Museum, standing to view performers in various spaces. Limited seating available.
