A city planner, real estate developer, educator, and news columnist discuss the past, present, and future of community development in Washington, D.C.  You will hear about triumphs and lessons learned over the past 30 years and plans for the future of a city that is experiencing rapid neighborhood change including what other cities can take away from D.C.’s development. The program is sponsored by the Washington, D.C. Local Initiatives Support Corporation (D.C. LISC). 

A book signing of D.C. LISC’s newly published book, Becoming What We Can Be: Stories of Community Development in Washington, D.C. will follow the program.
