Girl Scout Day - Morning Session

Girl Scouts build a newspaper chair.Join us for Girl Scout Day at the National Building Museum, a day designed especially for Girl Scouts. Explore the world we build for ourselves and work on badge and journey requirements.  Girls will participate in multiple hands-on activities and have the opportunity to talk to building professionals.

During this program Girl Scouts will be able to:

  • Create an arch bridge out of straws with engineers from the American Society of Civil Engineers.
  • Explore the museum’s building on a scavenger hunt to reveal its amazing history.
  • Learn how to clean water by creating a simple water filter.
  • Build a green roof that really grows and learn how plants contribute to cleaner air.
  • Turn garbage into something useful and beautiful by turning an old plastic bottle into a flower vase.

Prepaid registration required by Thursday, October 18, 2012. Walk-in registration based on availability. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
