Talk: Design in Crisis: Providing Humanity in Disaster

Explore how design and humanitarian efforts can work together to provide innovative and long-term solutions to crisis response efforts around the world. Jill Pable, Ph.D., FIDEC, ASID, WELL AP, professor, Florida State University and founder, Design Resources for Homelessness, Inc., Gretchen Schneider Rabinkin, executive director, Boston Society of Landscape Architects, and Charles Setchell, senior Shelter, Settlements, and Hazard Mitigation Advisor,US Agency for International Development Office of US Foreign Disaster Assistance (USAID/OFDA), will explore best practices and collaborative strategies that will aid in crises ranging from natural disasters to geopolitical events. The program is moderated by Randy Fiser, Hon. ASID, chief executive officer, ASID.

$12 Museum and ASID Member | $10 Student | $20 Non-member.

This program is made possible through a grant from the Apgar Fund for Excellence in the Built Environment, as well as support from the American Society of Interior Designers Foundation.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Online registration for Museum programs closes at midnight the day before the scheduled program.

The Museum's award-winning Shop and Firehook Café are open for one hour prior to the start of the program. Shop and Café hours are subject to change.
