CityVision Fall 2012 Final Presentation |
During the fall 2012 CityVision semester, DCPS middle school students from Takoma Education Campus and Raymond Education Campus learned about urban design, and explored the city. In collaboration with volunteers from the District Department of Transportation and the Washington, D.C. area, the students investigated and analyzed the area above the tracks at Union Station. They will present their plans for decking over the tracks and creating a denser, more vibrant transportation hub. CityVision is supported by Bloomberg; the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities, an agency supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts; The William Randolph Hearst Foundations; and MARPAT Foundation. Additional support for outreach programs is provided by The Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation; Clark Charitable Foundation; The Max and Victoria Dreyfus Foundation, Inc.; Sunrise Foundation; and The Tower Companies, among others.
