Join Anya Schoolman, founder and executive director of DC SUN, on an exploration and conversation about rethinking electrical power in the city. Tour a solar array atop a private residence in the Mt. Pleasant neighborhood as an example of a grassroots effort to bring renewable energy to a neighborhood. Share your insights about lowering Washington, D.C.’s carbon footprint and enhancing the city's energy efficiency with fellow explorers through casual conversation at Lia Cafe Brazil.

On-site + Conversation = Insight & Inspiration

Urban Salons illuminate the past, present, and future of the built environment in the Washington Metropolitan Area. The program consists a half hour interactive site visit led by knowledgable guides, and a half hour converstion with fellow explorers in a nearby cafe to share thoughts, insights, and questions about the site visit experience, and more.

$15. Pre-registration required. Space is limited to 10 people.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Online registration for Museum programs closes at midnight the day before the scheduled program.
