Sandy Buffie currently resides in Washington, D.C. where she specializes in unique jewelry design and construction. Sandy pieces hand-sculpted copper, sterling silver, hardware, family heirlooms and found objects to generate one-of-a-kind, wearable art. Contemporary, whimsical, edgy, durable and eye-catching, Sandy's collections are a refreshing alternative to more traditional designs.
An environmentalist, trained as a metalsmith and drawn to the art world through her love of painting and sculpting, Sandy has lived and worked in Malibu, Dallas, Atlanta, Charlotte, Charleston, and Cleveland. Married with three children, she enjoys travel, reading, skiing, tennis and all that is groundbreaking, daring and artistic. While living in Cleveland she had a teaching studio and gallery. She also was a board member at The Center For Arts Inspired Learning. New to D.C., Sandy currently has a studio in her home.
