Planning Tour: White Flint Maryland |
When planning began for the new White Flint district in Montgomery County, Maryland, 37% of its 430 acres were covered in surface parking lots. To build a more walkable community, the county formed a 30-year plan to embrace transit-oriented, mixed-use development. Lindsay Hoffman, executive director of Friends of White Flint, leads a tour of this exciting area. General membership registration begins at 10 am on October 27, and will be assigned based on space availability. To upgrade your membership, please contact the Membership Office at 202.272.2448. Please note: most tours require extensive stair climbing. On-site registration is not available. Photo:Two Trains at White Flint Metro. Photo by Flickr user Dan Reed. Date:
