Explore the
Arts Walk in the Brookland neighborhood of Washington, D.C. and meet some of
the creatives who work in the ground level studios. Discover how the studio
spaces are utilized by the artists to create and sell their art. Jim Abdo, president and CEO, Abdo
Development and Tanya Hilton, executive director, CulturalDC lead the tour. After the tour, the group gathers
at nearby Brookland Pint to discuss the creative spaces in D.C.
Urban Salons illuminate the past, present, and future of the built environment in the Washington Metropolitan Area. The program consists of an interactive site visit led by knowledgeable guides, and a post-tour converstion with fellow explorers in a nearby cafe to share thoughts, insights, and questions about the site visit experience.
