Climate ABC: Who Leads and What Follows?

Date:
Tuesday, January 25, 2022
Time:
6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Climate ABC Rectangular LogoJoin us for Climate ABC (Action/Building/Community), a new signature series focusing on three essential aspects to addressing climate change: Actions by individuals, businesses, non-profits, policy makers, and civic entities; Building -- examples of both physical structures and landscapes, as well as coalitions of stakeholders; and Communities at every scale that are working to slow climate change.

Learn how the intersection of industry, government, and the public - how they influence each other, where/how the public can get involved to improve outcomes - can lead to productive climate action. Theresa Backhus, associate director of outreach and engagement, Building Innovation Hub; Benjamin Fry, project executive, John Moriarty & Associates; and Josep Maset, VP Strategy and Commercial Excellence, Holcim, discuss the need for cooperation between these three stakeholders that will lead to the migration of actions from voluntary to standard to required. The program is moderated by Susan Piedmont-Palladino, architect and director of Virginia Tech’s Washington Alexandria Architecture Center.

This program will be presented live via Zoom. Once you complete your ticket purchase, you'll receive a confirmation email containing the link to attend the webinar.
