Discover how DeafSpace design principles are being applied to the university’s redevelopment project with Hansel Bauman, director of Campus Design and Construction, Gallaudet University. After the tour, gather at nearby Union Market to discuss DeafSpace design, urban redevelopment, and streetscape planning in D.C.

Urban Salons illuminate the past, present, and future of the built environment in the Washington Metropolitan Area. The program consists of an interactive site visit led by knowledgeable guides, and a post-tour converstion with fellow explorers in a nearby cafe to share thoughts, insights, and questions about the site visit experience.
