Tour the Tregaron Estate’s historic gardens, a remarkable collaboration by renowned landscape architect Ellen Biddle Shipman and Charles Adams Platt, the leading architect of the American Country House movement. Talk with Tregaron Conservancy executive director Lynn Parseghian and landscape committee chair Tamara Belt about the restoration of the naturalistic woodland gardens and built elements to recapture Shipman's 1912 Beaux Arts design. Discover original and current landscape plans while enjoying refreshments and conversing with fellow explorers.

Urban Salons illuminate the past, present, and future of the built environment in the Washington Metropolitan Area. The program consists of an interactive site visit led by knowledgable guides, and a post-tour converstion with fellow explorers in a nearby cafe to share thoughts, insights, and questions about the site visit experience.
