Construction Watch Tour: The Dupont Underground

This tour is sold out.
CWT_DupontUnderground_gallery.jpgA 75,000-square-foot complex of platforms and tunnels beneath Washington, D.C.’s, Dupont Circle, built in 1949 and largely abandoned since the early 1960s, is a little-known remainder of the city’s former streetcar system. For more than a decade, the Dupont Underground has been working to transform this forgotten space into a cultural destination. Monling Lee, a Dupont Underground board member, leads a tour and discusses plans to activate the space through art and design exhibitions, public performances, and pop-up retail and dining.
