Cub Scout Day - Morning Session

Join us for Cub Scout Day at the National Building Museum, a day designed especially for Tiger, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos cub scouts. Explore the world we build for ourselves and work on badge requirements.  Boys will participate in multiple hands-on activities and have the opportunity to talk to building professionals.

During this program Cub Scouts will be able to:

  • Create an arch bridge out of straws with engineers from the American Society of Civil Engineers.
  • Explore the museum’s building on a scavenger hunt to reveal its amazing history.
  • Learn about simple machines as they construct a crazy catapult.
  • Become artists and architects as they use green peppers to learn how to draw building plans.
  • Test out the strength of different shapes as they design and construct a newspaper chair.
