Patriot Home. Photo courtesy Clark Realty Capital LLCU.S. military personnel wounded during active duty often begin their state-side rehabilitation in homes ill-equipped to meet their altered physical and mental health needs.  The Wounded Warrior Home Project in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, highlights accessible design in two model homes. Architect Michael Graves, FAIA; Captain Alvin Shell (U.S. Army, Ret.); and Casey Nolan, Clark Realty Capital, discuss the homes’ state-of-the-art universal design and the applicability of these features in homes for veterans and seniors wishing to age in place. The program is moderated by John Salmen, AIA, president of Universal Designers & Consultants.  1.5 LU HSW (AIA)

The Wounded Warrior Home Project lecture is generously sponsored by USO and All Stage & Sound, Inc.
