Livable Communities: Boomers in the 'Burbs: Aging in Place

If you have already created a profile on www.nbm.org, please sign in to autopopulate your information.

As people age they become less likely to drive, depending instead on other transit options and walkable environments. How will the millions of older adults who live in suburbs with minimal transit get to a pharmacy, walk to a community center, or visit friends and family? Panelists discuss a range of productive short-term and long-term solutions. This program complements the exhibition House & Home, which will be open to attendees before the discussion.

Featuring:
Judy Willett, national director, Village to Village Network (moderator)
June Williamson, associate professor in the Spitzer School of Architecture at the CIty College of New York.
