Construction Watch Tour: Atlantic Plumbing

**This tour is SOLD OUT.**

atlantic-plumbing-21.jpgIn the U Street Corridor in Northwest Washington, DC, past and present meet in two new mixed-use apartment buildings designed by New York-based Morris Adjmi Architects. Emily T. Garofalo, LEED AP BD+C, with the JBG Companies, leads a tour of these buildings, one of which features a distinct corten steel exterior bracing; the other an over scaled window placement in running-bond pattern. The buildings offer approximately 23,400 square feet of retail and artist studio space (including a 10,000 SF Landmark Theatre), 310 luxury apartments and 62 condominiums. The project includes amenities that are unparalleled in the neighborhood including an elaborate rooftop terrace with a resort-style pool, indoor/outdoor bar, catering kitchen, lounge area, yoga/Pilates and spin studio, fitness center, outdoor kitchens, private gardening plots, and a covered, movie screening area. The smaller condominium building will deliver in early 2015 and the apartment building will be completed in the latter part of year.
