Wonder on the Wire: High Wire Artist Philippe Petit Performs at the National Building Museum

Join us Thursday, March 23, 2023, for a once-in-a-lifetime experience and enjoy first-hand the wonder of French high-wire artist, Philippe Petit. Most known for his walk between the Twin Towers in 1974, Petit will dazzle a private crowd by walking across the Museum's storied Great Hall. This walk will mark his first ever performance in Washington, DC and all those in attendance will be part of a monumental moment.

Attendance will be limited, creating an exclusive experience with Petit and higher levels of sponsorship will have with preferred seating for the performance and special keepsakes to mark this incredible occasion. Individual tickets start at $300 and sponsorship levels start at $1,000.

All proceeds of Wonder on the Wire will support the Museum’s upcoming exhibition, Building StoriesOpening in November 2023, Building Stories will bring kids and adults alike on a new immersive exploration of the world of architecture, engineering, construction, and design found in children’s literature. Geared toward an intergenerational audience, with special attention to K-3 children and their caregivers, this exhibition will become a new and important hub of activity in our nation’s capital.
