Think Like an Engineer Girl Scout Badge

Juniors will learn how to use the Design Thinking Process to solve problems through hands-on activities and discussion. First, they will design an emergency shelter in response to an earthquake. Second, they will build a protoype and test it on a shake table!

After participating in this two-hour workshop, Juniors will have completed all requirements for the Think Like an Engineer Badge 2&3: Emergency Shelter and Earthquake Resistant Building (badge NOT included). Exhibition wristbands included for Girl Scouts, but adults must purchase their own wristbands (members are always free!).

This is NOT a drop-off program and all Girl Scouts must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited. Refunds are not possible 2 weeks or less from the program date. Registration closes at midnight on Thursday, November 16 in order to leave time to prep materials.

We're sorry, the deadline for buying tickets for this event has passed.
