Witness the fading infrastructure of Borscht Belt hotels
and bungalows in the Catskill Mountain region of New York as chronicled by
photographer Marisa Scheinfeld. She shares excerpts from her book, The
Borscht Belt: Revisiting the Remains of America’s Jewish Vacationland, which
captures and celebrates the 1920s to
the 1970s when the region was the summer playground for American Jews.
