Construction Watch Tour: Hotel Hive

CWT_HiveHotel.jpgThe historic Allen Lee Hotel in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood of Washington, D.C. is being renovated into the city’s first “pod-style hotel.” Hotel Hive will have 83 rooms that average 250 square feet. Jim Abdo, president and CEO of Abdo Development, leads a tour of this project, which will feature technologically advanced rooms, modern minimalist designs, socially active common areas to include restaurant, bar, patios, and rooftop terrace. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-2016.

Open only to Museum members 18 years and older, $35. Members of The Corinthians and The Builders receive advance registration beginning October 19, by calling 202.272.2448 from 10 am–5 pm, Monday through Friday. General membership registration begins at 10 am on October 26, and will be assigned based on space availability. To upgrade your membership, please contact the Membership Office at 202.272.2448. Please note: most tours require extensive stair climbing. On-site registration is not available.
