CityVision Spring 2012 Final Presentation

Students sketching on site visit

During the spring 2012 CityVision semester, 34 students from John Burroughs Education Campus and Stuart-Hobson Middle School learned about urban design and explored the city. In collaboration with design professionals from the D.C. metro area, the students investigated and analyzed three sites near the Anacostia Metro station. They will present their plans for creating more accessible and vibrant communities.

CityVision instills in students that they can change the world around them and enact positive change in their lives and the lives of others through good design. As students explore neighborhoods, brainstorm solutions, and accomplish projects together, they learn the importance of teamwork, problem solving, and advocacy skills.
