Mechtild Rössler, PhD., director, UNESCO Division for Heritage and World Heritage Centre, and Patricia M. O’Donnell, FASLA, AICP, F.US/ICOMOS, principal, Heritage Landscapes, explain how the 1073 World Heritage sites incorporate cultural landscapes as combined works of humanity  and nature to express the identity of a cosmopolitan city like Rio. A reception follows the program.
