NoMa

Cranes dot the skyline of NoMa (North of Massachusetts Avenue), one of D.C.’s fastest-growing neighborhoods. The construction of the New York Avenue Metro station catalyzed the development of condos, federal office buildings, and Class A commercial space which continues to expand and gain new residents. A panel explores ideas for connecting to adjacent neighborhoods, encouraging affordable housing and retail, and tackling challenges such as lack of green space.

Panelists include:

  • Robin-Eve Jasper, president, NoMa BID
  • Kent Marquis, principal, Stonebridge Associates
  • Patricia Zingsheim AIA, CPM, associate director of Revitalization and Design, DC Office of Planning
  • Jess Zimbabwe, executive director, ULI Daniel Rose Center for Public Leadership (moderator)
