To complement the exhibition Overdrive: L.A. Constructs the Future, 1940–1990, the National Building Museum focuses its premiere lecture series, Spotlight on Design, towards the west coast with lectures by Neil M. Denari Architects, Marmol Radziner, and Johnston Marklee. Join for one, or purchase a Spotlight on L.A. Design series ticket.

SoLAD_JohnstonMarklee_Vault-House.jpgNo signature style defines the work of Johnston Marklee. Founding principals Sharon Johnston, AIA, and Mark Lee discuss their firm's innovative buildings, which explore the relationship between design and building technologies. The resulting wholly original work includes the UCLA Graduate Art Studios, Poggio Golo Winery, and The Menil Drawing Institute.
