Construction Watch Tour: American Univeristy Washington College of Law

AmericanUniversityCollegeOfLaw_Aerial.jpgFounded in 1896, American University Washington College of Law is evolving to meet the changing needs of legal education. SmithGroupJJR’s Tom Butcavage, American University’s Ferda Guzey, and Whiting Turner’s Bob Kehoe lead a tour of the college’s new facility, which incorporates historic structures. The new and renovated buildings will form a connected complex of teaching spaces, a conference center, legal clinic facilities, teaching courtrooms, the law library, an alumni center, faculty and staff offices, and multiple student study and meeting spaces throughout the campus. The project is seeking LEED Gold certification.
