The
Interschool Design Competition (ISDC) convenes teams of students from
the Washington, D.C. area’s six collegiate architecture programs—The Catholic
University of America, Howard University, University of the District of
Columbia, Virginia Tech Washington-Alexandria Architecture Center, Morgan State
University, and University of Maryland. Teams participate in a day-long design challenge
in which they are tasked with producing a creative solution that addresses real
world architecture, planning, and landscape architecture issues. Past
competitions have challenged students to design tornado disaster shelters and
public pavilions or to re-design existing parks and plazas. The awards ceremony will be held on Monday, September 16 at 5 pm.
