Teen Workshop: When Architecture Tells a Story

Date:
Sunday, March 25, 2018
Time:
1:00 PM - 5:00 PM

fairy-tales-program.pngWhat will D.C. look like in 1,000 years? How might people be living, working, and playing in the distant future? Use creative writing, collage, and artwork to reimagine the world we will design and build for ourselves. We’ll get inspiration from Blank Space’s Fairy Tales: When Architecture Tells a Story competition, virtually meet an architect from 2017’s winning team, and work with artist Jamila Zahra Felton of The Beat of Blossoms to create narratives and artwork. Using mixed media to create the pages, each piece will be compiled into a zine and available at the March 29 program.

Free, youth enrolled in grades 8–12. Limited to 25 participants. Registration required.

Youth who participate in this workshop are invited to attend the March 29 program as guests of the Museum.

If you go to register and spots are full, please email teenprograms[at]nbm.org with your information to be added to a wait list.
