Tracy Metz’s book Sweet & Salt: Water and the Dutch addresses the complex and inescapable relationship between water and the Netherlands as sea levels rise, rivers swell, and storms and droughts multiply. Sweet & Salt shows innovative solutions of Dutch design practice for a new relationship to water and offers a new perspective on living with water in the future. Following her talk, she will be joined by panelists in a moderated discussion.

Panelists:
• Chrysanthe B. Broikos, curator, National Building Museum
• Kathy Poole, RLA, principal, Poole Design
• Dale Morris, senior economist, director of the Dutch Government’s U.S. Water Management Network (moderator)

The book was selected as a Best Book pick for 2012 by the editors of Architectural Record, and is available for purchase in the Museum's Shop. A book signing follows the lecture.
