Explore Olmsted Woods, the last vestige of an extensive oak and beech forest on the grounds of Washington National Cathedral, get an exclusive look at copies of historic documents from the National Building Museum's National Cathedral collection, and discuss the challenge of balancing historic restoration and environmental stewardship. Walk through the restored landscape, designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, Jr, with All Hallows Guild. Take time to travel the Pilgrim Way and visit a recently designed contemplative circle, then gather together for refreshments in the Bishop’s Garden gazebo.

Urban Salons illuminate the past, present, and future of the built environment in the Washington Metropolitan Area. The program consists of an interactive site visit led by knowledgeable guides, and a post-tour converstion with fellow explorers in a nearby cafe to share thoughts, insights, and questions about the site visit experience.

$15. Pre-registration required. Space is limited to 15 people.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Online registration for this program closes at midnight the day before the program.
