This workshop introduces the principles of landscape
architecture and explores how they are correspondent to the elements of visual
art. Integrating artful thinking strategies, participants will document, through photography
and drawing, the designed elements of a nearby park. Through the process of observing, documenting,
and describing the design of an outdoor public space, participants will
contemplate landscape architecture as an art form that incorporates an artistic
process.This workshop is in conjunction with the exhibition The Landscape Architecture of Lawrence Halprin.
Recommended for teachers of grades 5-12, any subject.
