Donald Shoup, professor of Urban Planning at UCLA and author of The High Cost of Free Parking, puts parking garages in the context of parking policies in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, and shows how we can design our cities for people, not cars. 1.5 LU (AIA) /  1.5 CM (AICP) 

$12 Members; FREE Students; $20 Non-members. Prepaid registration required. Walk-in registration based on availability.

House of Cars: Innovation and the Parking Garage will be open for viewing one hour prior to the start of the lecture.

The Museum's award-winning Shop is open for one hour prior to the start of the program. Firehook Cafe is also open for one hour prior to the start of the program, offering sandwiches, soft drinks, tea and coffee and sweet treats. Shop and Café hours are subject to change.
