Cub Scout Day Session 1: 10 am to 1 pm
National Building Museum

Activities for Tigers, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos Cub Scouts
Throughout the day, participants can explore the science and design behind transportation and building:
-BUILD a boat, and watch it sink or float.
-CREATE paper airplanes and learn about the forces behind them.
-TEST the strength of structures as you build a bridge out of toothpicks.
-LAUNCH a balloon rocket and see it soar.
-DRAW plans for a green house.
-RAISE the wall of an 8 x 11' house.

At timed intervals throughout the day participants can explore how the historic home of the National Building Museum was designed and built.  Tours will be led by the Museum's team of Junior Docents.

Prepaid registration required by Thursday, January 28. Walk-in registration based on availability. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
All child participants must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Adult attendance is FREE.

If the Museum closes due to inclement weather, Cub Scout Day will be cancelled. The activities will be rescheduled for an alternate date or a refund will be issued. If Cub Scout Day is cancelled, the Museum will email all participants. You may also check the Museum’s website www.nbm.org for a notice about closings.
