The correct time for this program is 11:00 am – 12:30 pm This July, the National Building Museum offers Architecture 101, a lecture series that provides a broader understanding of architectural “styles.” These programs explore significant periods in architectural history, serving as a refresher course for the professional or student or providing the novice with a chance to learn more about the world of architecture. The lectures explore the physical characteristics of each movement and how each reflects the culture, politics, and technical innovations of its time. This summer, the series seeks to define Victorian architecture (July 14th), explore the Arts and Crafts movement (July 21st), and gets hip with Mid-Century Modern architecture (July 28th). Attendees receive an illustrated fact sheet about buildings that typify the style covered in that lecture that could be the launching point for an architectural tour or used for quick reference. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Registration is for event planning purposes only and does not guarantee a seat. Online registration for Museum programs closes at midnight the day before the scheduled program. Date:
