Homeschool Day

The National Building Museum invites individual families to register for the Museum’s Homeschool Day on Wednesday, April 8, 2015. For a description of the programs offered, click on a program name below.

You must register for each program separately. Pre-registration is required by the end of the day on Monday, April 6, 2015. Walk-in registration will be available for any programs not filled during pre-registration. You are welcome to register for a morning program and an afternoon program. If the program you're interested in is sold out, consider gathering a group of homeschool students and registering for a group program.

Wednesday, April 8 Program Schedule
We will be taking walk-in registrations for the Build a Green Roof and My House, My Home programs on Wednesday, April 8th, 2015.

Morning Programs
Build a Green Roof, 4-6 year olds, 10:30 am to 12 noon
Symbolic Architecture, 7-9 year olds, 10 am to 12 noon (sold out)
Engineering Egg Drop, 10-14 year olds, 10 am to 12 noon (sold out)

Afternoon Programs
My House, My Home, 4-6 year olds, 1 pm to 2:30 pm
Engineering Egg Drop, 7-9 year olds, 1 pm to 3 pm (sold out)
Designing for Disaster, 10-14 year olds, 1pm to 3 pm (sold out)

Each $10 ticket covers one child’s participation in one homeschool program. There is no cost for adults to chaperone the homeschool programs. This program ticket does not include admission to the Museum’s exhibitions.

If families would like to visit the Museum’s exhibitions before or after the Homeschool Day programs, discounted exhibition tickets may be purchased online during pre-registration or on the day of your visit. The cost is $3 per participating student and $5 per adult and/or tag-a-long sibling.
