ICEBERGS FIeld Operations

"flip the berg"

Theatre company dog & pony dc brings their experiential approach to ICEBERGS for a unique night of creative and collaborative adventures.  In the guise of a society of scientists and technologists who want to advance the relationship between people and nature (especially at Earth’s poles), actors will invite visitors of all ages to play, view, interact with, and investigate the ICEBERGS installation and related ideas from all perspectives.

Participate in activities all night that include:
• a conversation with a polar bear
• learning American Sign Language for a variety of ICEBERGS related terms
• building an Abominable Snowman sculpture out of trash and recycled materials
• recording the sounds of ICEBERGS from a variety of found objects
• and more!

At 7:00, 8:00, and 9:00 pm, teams of visitors can explore their impact on nature through three creative adventures:
• create a dance that moves like ice
• work with ICEBERGS-related words and images
• play with light inside, outside, and around the installation

"We are dog & pony dc, and we seek to upend the way theatre is created.  We believe in the power of collaboration, between artists and with the audience."            - dog & pony dc
