It is difficult to exaggerate the chilling effect of the economic slowdown on architecture. A panel of developers, architects, and design experts examines how the building industry is responding to profound challenges created by the current recession and how the building industry is responding to the prolonged economic downturn. Mara Liasson, Fox News and NPR, provides opening remarks and then moderates a discussion among the
following panelists:

This is the seventh annual Women of Architecture program presented by the National Building Museum, in collaboration with the Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation (BWAF). The series celebrates women in the building industry during Women’s History Month.

BWAF is a national research and educational non-profit organization that is working to change the culture of the building industry so that women’s work, whether in contemporary practices or within historical narratives, is acknowledged and valued.
