2015 Investigating Where We Live Exhibition Opening
National Building Museum

An IWWL Student Displays His CertificateDuring the five weeks of Investigating Where We Live, local teens used digital photography, writing, and interviews to explore Washington, D.C.’s commemorative spaces and analyze how we, as a nation and a city, remember and honor the past. They visited local institutions, such as the Historical Society of Washington, D.C., Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian, and the Newseum to put their observations in context. The exhibition will present their exploration process as well as three installations of commemorative spaces to a people, events, or issues that they believe need to be remembered.
