Featured Designer: Evelyn Brooks

evelyn brooksEvelyn Brooks was born in Peru and graduated from Business Tourism School at the age of 21. She was fortunate to be able to explore the travel industry and travel around the world as part of her job. Having lived in many different countries, (Brazil, Mexico, El Salvador, United States) she has enjoyed the beauty of what each one has to offer.

In 2004, Evelyn discovered her new passion: jewelry making/design. She has taken courses at the Torpedo Factory, The Gemological Institute of America and Empowered Women International in order to diversify her knowledge in the jewelry industry. Being the daughter of two highly creative people--her father has been a jeweler since age fourteen, and her mother ran a successful fashion and accessories boutique--has also influenced and inspired her work. Although Evelyn is no longer living in Lima, her parents have helped her with the materials and resources needed to assemble her jewelry in the United States. Evelyn continues to pursue her jewelry passion and looks forward to working on new designs incorporating new lines to her existing collection for years to come.

"I am a very passionate young entrepreneur and I look forward to creating more innovative modern designs influenced with my native Peruvian culture."
