Section B: Teen Applicant Questions

You, the applicant must answer the following questions. Due to the number of applications we receive, we cannot conduct interviews. The responses provided here are our primary means of determining who participates in the program. Acceptance into the program IS NOT first come, first served.

Please make sure you answer the questions thoughtfully. A good rule of thumb is 3-7 sentences per question, maybe 10 sentences maximum. If you find a question confusing or need some other help, feel free to email us.

Section C: Visual Support (optional, but HIGHLY recommended)

We strongly recommend you submit ONE piece of visual support for your application, such as a photograph you have taken, artwork you have made, something you have designed or built, or a poem or story you have written.

  • Email file (jpg., PDF, doc.) to teenprograms@nbm.org;
  • File must be under 5 MB; do not invite us to view a google doc.
  • Include your name and "IWWL 2019 Visual" in the subject line.

While submitting visual support is optional, it will make your application stronger, especially if you best express yourself in ways other than writing.

Thank you for submitting an application for the 2019 session of Investigating Where We Live. You should receive a confirmation email upon hitting "apply." If you do not see an email, please check you spam or junk file to ensure that we are able to be in email communication with you.
